For Lancashire resident families who will require a primary school place in September 2021 (children born between 1st September 2016 and 31st August 2017) or a secondary school place, the means of application is via Lancashire's on-line system at:- www.lancashire.gov.uk/schools. This is now live, is quick and easy to use and offers an e-mail receipt of all submitted applications. Please ensure that you hit the "submit" button when you are ready to send in your completed on-line application.
If you have submitted and received an email acknowledgement of an on-line application you can log back onto the system during the application period to view this. If, however, you go back into your original application this may have been over written (it definitely will if you make any changes). It will then no longer be valid. This applies for all changes, even very minor ones e.g. hyphens, apostrophes and typo corrections. To ensure that your on-line application remains valid you are therefore strongly advised to press the re-submit button if you re-visit the system at any time during the application period (whether or not changes were made). You should then receive a further confirmation email.
You must apply even if you already have siblings at your preferred school or academy and even if your child is already in nursery. If you live in Lancashire you can include out of area preferences on your on-line application. Booklets and paper application forms are no longer being issued, however if you do not have computer access, please speak to the school office about alternative arrangements.
The closing dates for applications are:-
Secondary school applications – 11-59 pm on 31st October 2020
Primary school applications – 11-59 pm on 15th January 2020
APPLYING FOR NURSERY PLACES FOR JANUARY 2021
Children born between 1st September 2017 and 31st December 2017 become eligible for places for our January intake.
We have limited availability for both the 15 free hours Government entitlement and 30 hour free childcare places for eligible families. Please call the school office if you require any further information or to register your child for a place.
