Welcome to our school!
Higher Walton CE Primary School is a small village school with a welcoming family atmosphere.
We encourage children to share, co-operate and develop self-discipline. We place a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy skills, but recognise that we are preparing children for a complex world and aim to reflect that in the lessons and experiences that we provide.
What is a controlled school?
Our school is a "controlled" Church of England primary school.
A controlled school is one which has a church foundation, represented by its Foundation Governors, but which is maintained by the Local Education Authority.
Where do the children come from?
We currently draw pupils from the village of Higher Walton, and from surrounding areas such as Walton-le-Dale, Bamber Bridge, Preston and Hoghton.
