Welcome to Higher Walton Church of England Primary School

Thank you for your interest in Higher Walton Church of England Primary School, a small and welcoming rural school where every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish.

Our Christian vision, “Life in all its fullness” (John 10:10), is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that every child has unique gifts, talents and potential, and we strive to provide the care, encouragement and opportunities they need to reach their full potential.

Currently welcoming around 75 children aged 3 to 11, our school provides a nurturing, inclusive and inspiring environment in which children develop a genuine love of learning. We have high expectations for all our pupils, while recognising that children flourish when they feel safe, supported and confident. We therefore focus not only on academic achievement, but also on children’s social, emotional and spiritual development.

Our dedicated and creative staff are committed to making Higher Walton the very best it can be. Working together as a close-knit school community, we encourage curiosity, independence, kindness and resilience, ensuring that every member of our school family feels valued and supported.

As a Church of England school, we have strong links with All Saints Church, Higher Walton, and we are proud to play an active role in our local community. Our Christian values are reflected in daily school life, helping our children to develop respect, compassion and a sense of responsibility for themselves and others.

Our modern school building provides a bright and welcoming learning environment. Four classrooms are grouped around a large shared resource area, alongside a hall and dining room, library, Rainbow Room, staff room, offices and PPA room. Outside, our children benefit from a large playground, playing field and garden areas, together with a dedicated safe-play area for our infant classes.

At Higher Walton, we want every child to feel that they belong, that their voice matters and that they can achieve great things. Through nurturing relationships, high-quality learning and strong community partnerships, we seek to give our children the foundations they need to live “life in all its fullness.”
